Girls' Bowling
2012-2013 Season Review
The girls’ bowling team finished one step short of their goal of a first-ever berth in the state finals but crafted the first undefeated regular season in the 13 years of the program. The girls went a perfect 10-0 in the regular season with wins over several of the south side’s top teams. In the postseason, the girls captured their second straight sectional title and placed four bowlers – seniors Jessica Neu (third), Maddi Wincek (sixth), Megan Harrell (seventh) and Kelsey Neylon (eighth) – in the top eight. The girls earned a runner-up finish in regional and Neu was the individual runner-up. A seventh-place finish at semi-state ended the team’s season, one position shy of a state finals berth, but Neu finished fourth to advance to the individual state finals in Lafayette. Among the state’s top 24 girls’ high school bowlers, Neu bowled a 535 series to a 12th-place finish.
