The 2009 Boys' Cross Country season was full of ups and downs. Some of our ups include Alex Schoettle winning the Whiteland Invite, moving up to #14 (16:37)on the All-Time list and running the fastest 3 mile average at the Plainfield Hokum Karem. The team qualified for Semi-State for the 7th consecutive year placing 19th. The team was most competitive at Brebeuf 3rd out of 10, Whiteland 2nd out of 12 and the Sectional meet, 3rd out of 12. The Sectional was our best meet of the year as Alex Schoettle (15th/ 17:42) Nathan Luebbehusen (16th 17:43), Steve Humes (19th/ 17:53) and Seth Harmon (23rd/ 18:08) each had great races. The depth of the team is looking good as 13 guys ran under 19:00 4 more broke 20:00 and nearly all ran under 21:00.
Nathan Luebbehusen, Alex Schoettle and Devin Roach were named Academic All State by the Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches.
