2012-2013 Season Review

The girls’ swimming and diving team finished their dual/tri meet season with a 5-4 record.  The girls turned in 90 season-best performances and 131 career-best performances.  In the classroom, the girls registered a team GPA of 3.59.

Senior Abby Pongracz earned team MVP honors based on work ethic, dedication and an outstanding performance in the sectional.  She won the team’s Iron Athlete competition and has the 10th-fastest 1000 Freestyle in program history (12:41:52).  Senior Jessi Taylor swam the 10th-fastest 200 Butterfly time (3:00:51) in program history and freshman Emily Barron posted the ninth-fastest 400 Individual Medley time (5:29:16) in program history.

Of the nine-member senior class, three advanced to the county finals and four to the sectional finals.  The juniors and underclassmen are looking forward to building on this year’s success next season.
