“First Unified Meet”

April 19, 2016
By Mark Maloney R'85

Roncalli hosts the first unified track meet in the schools 47 year history. Watching our Rebels host and facilitate the first ever unified track meet with our neighbors from Perry Meridian was simply awesome. Nobody worried about who won and lost. This is the first time a Roncalli team has combined competition with our Stars and their neighbors. The effort, enthusiasm and joy in the parents faces brought tears to my eyes and many around me. So proud to be a Rebel! Nice job David Lauck and company for putting this one of a kind, first ever event together. Please consider doing more of these types of events if you can. I think you've tapped a nerve of compassion and most importantly, competitive spirit just waiting to be unleashed within our Stars! REBEL PRIDE HARD TO HIDE.
