2008 Gymnastics Season Review

The 2007-2008 season was a great experience for the Lady Rebel Gymnasts! With a regular season winning record of 9-5, the girls earned a (season high) team score of 101.50. The team consisted of three seniors: Kelli Corbin, Alli Haag and Jasmine Slivka; and five sophomores: Taylor Gadaleta, Emily Gerth, Ellery Howard, Rachel Fagan and Brynne Wilson. The Gymnasts took second place at the New Castle Invitational, as well as the Marion County Tournament. At Sectionals, senior Jasmine Slivka tied for first on the uneven bars. Both her and sophomore Rachel Fagan advanced to the Regionals in the uneven bars event. With Rachel breaking a school record on bars of a 9.6, the girls went on to qualify for the State Finals. They placed 25th (Rachel) and 27th (Jasmine) in that event. We look forward to the 09 season with great anticipation! Wonderful job girls, we are very proud of you!
