2007-2008 Girls' Swimming & Diving Season Review

The girls finished their regular dual/tri meet season with an 8 and 6 record. Their most impressive finish of the season was at the Marion County Swimming and Diving Championships where the team placed 3rd . To even have finished in the top 5 would have been remarkable due to the amount of talented seniors that we have graduated over the past two years, as well as the competitive nature of this meet.
For the first time in three years, Roncalli headed to a new and much more competitive Sectional site where the team placed 4th. Alexa Eberg was the only athlete to advance to State this season where she placed 23rd in the 200 IM. Alexa was also the only athlete to break a school record. She broke the 200 IM record that was set by Megan Sobecki in 2003.
We wish our seniors Allison Bowman, Jenny Brassie, Molly Clark, Sam Clark, Meghan Jansen, Elissa Mason, Allie Qualls and Jessi Randolph the best as they continue onto college next year.
