Welcome to the Roncalli Fine Arts Home

Dear FineArts Patrons,

I am writing this letter as I sit in my new office. I purposely placed my desk so that I can look out into the new band room. Even though we moved in mid July, I still feel a thrill in my heart every time I look out or walk into that wonderful room. With the special acoustic ceiling and panels, each rehearsal is incredibly productive as we can hear the sound waves bounce the way they are intended. I get that same thrill each time I walk past the new auditorium. I can close my eyes and imagine the thousands of notes to be played and sung, the thousands of words to be spoken, and the thousands of Roncalli Family members in which to share those notes and words. The possibilities of what are yet to be created inspire all of us in the Fine Arts Department.

I want to thank all of you who made the new Fine Arts Center possible. This includes all of the people who pledged and donated money, all of the alumni Fine Arts students who worked and set the bar to new heights, and a dream team administration who clearly love, appreciate, and support the Fine Arts here at Roncalli. On behalf of the Fine Arts Staff, I thank you for helping us reach new heights. Thank you doesn’t come close to saying how much gratitude we feel, however, English author Aldous Huxley said “After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.”
We’ll take his thoughts further, and we will show our sincere gratitude and thankfulness not only through music, but also through art, plays, and musicals. We will praise God and give our thanks throughout each and every performance. God is good. May God bless all of you.
