For the past 15 years, with the institution of our first master facility plan in 1994, the Roncalli community has been on a quest to fulfill a vision to offer a one-of-a-kind facility among Catholic high schools in the State of Indiana. Nearly $17,000,000 in upgrades, renovations, and new construction have been added in that time.
Now we come to the final phase of fulfilling that vision. For nearly 10 years we have envisioned adding a chapel that would be a place of worship fitting as a house of God that would glorify Him and put the Catholic identity of the school front and center to all who visited our grounds.
The stage is now set for us to complete the vision started so long ago. Please join us in our efforts to build a house for God that inspires our students to a more fervent life of prayer and worship. Such a house is also a fitting way to give thanks to God for the way all in the Roncalli Family have been blessed by the gift of Catholic education begun so many years ago at Sacred Heart Central.

In order to build the Roncalli High School endowment fund, we have been setting aside $20,000 each year to add to the endowment fund. These monies have come from our annual fund each of the past three years. Finally, the Let Us Pray Campaign seeks to raise $165,000 for financial assistance for Roncalli students and families who demonstrate genuine financial hardship. This gives us a challenge goal totaling $900,000 for the Let Us Pray Campaign.
Please join us on this journey to say thanks to our God and to acknowledge all of those who have gone before us to lay such a firm foundation. Let us pray!

Our Chaplain Fr. Jim Wilmoth says Mass everyday for our students. At these Masses the chapel is packed and a line of twenty to thirty students forms outside the door. Our current chapel was designed to be an office for two people. Our students deserve a chapel where all can fully participate in daily Mass.

So far we have raised enough funds to complete the outer shell of the chapel. Our community has already responded with more than $600,000 of gifts and pledges to finish the weather-tight, outer shell. The pictures above represent the current state of construction and a rendering of the completed chapel.

Under the current contract, the pictures above display the level of completion of the inside of the chapel. We are looking for people that are interested in helping us complete the job. We are hoping you will help us to raise an additional $282,720 to complete and furnish the interior.
