Shadow Program

Any 7th, 8th Grade or Transfer student interested in attending Roncalli High School has the opportunity to come and visit for a day of classes.  This is an excellent opportunity for the student to experience a day in the life of a Roncalli student.  We look forward to having students visit Roncalli, home of the Rebels!

To request a shadow visitation, parents may contact Mrs. Terese Carson by phone, 317-787-8277, ext. 240 or by e-mail, tcarson@roncallihs.org.  Request for a shadow day should be made at least one week in advance.  Shadowing dates are available from October to April.

Students coming to shadow at Roncalli will be paired with a trained shadow host for the day.  Please be prepared when calling Mrs. Stegemiller to give information regarding your student’s class level, extra-curricular interests, foreign language interest, etc. so that we can match your student with a host that has some of those same interests.  Shadow students are asked to please wear something similar to our school uniform which is khaki or navy pants and a golf-style polo shirt on the day that they shadow.  We ask that shadow students be in the Advancement Office no later than 7:20 a.m. on the day that they shadow, which is where they will meet their host. 

The Advancement Office is the first door on the right in the main hallway/across from the Main office.  Please feel free to park in the visitor parking located on the circle drive in front of RHS.  Your student can be picked up in the Advancement Office at 3 p.m.  Please send $3-4 for your student to get through lunch.  Shadow students do not need to bring anything else with them on the day of their visit.  If you have any other questions regarding shadow days at RHS, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Carson.
