2010 Preview

The 2010 Rebels Volleyball team returns a number of front-row players, which should help them a tremendous amount offensively. Senior Setter Alexis Waugh and senior Outside Hitters Hannah Hartnett and Brooke Sahm provide experience to an offense that also returns its two Middle Blockers, juniors Courtney Halter and Hannah Bauer. Waugh will finish her career as a four-year starter who has been named 2nd Team All-State 3 times and went over the 2,000 assist plateau last season. Sahm is a returning starter and Hartnett is a three-year starter who was Honorable Mention All-County in 2009.

The Rebels should also receive a spark from junior Casey Corsaro, who returns from a knee injury that kept her out of most of the 2009 season. Sophomore Bridget Perry and senior Lacey Christian will also be seeing significant varsity action for the first time this year.

Defensively, senior Alyssa Annee returns. Along with Annee, several newcomers, led by sophomore Hannah Bartram will compete for the spots vacated by three seniors off of last season's squad. The Rebels seniors must show great leadership and production as, once again, they play one of Indiana's more demanding schedules.
