Lets' Eat!

Students and staff have four serving lines from which to purchase a Rebel Lunch. The two east serving lines (closest to the offices) offer self-serve pizza and hot sandwiches as well as hot and cold side items. The two west serving lines (closest to the windows) offer traditional lunches and self-service “bars” such as Pasta Bar on Mondays, Taco Bar on Fridays and others such as a Soup and Salad bar and an Oriental Bar. Papa John’s pizza will still be available as an a la carte choice on Wednesdays.

Located on both sides is a “grab-and-go” cold case which holds lunch-sized salads, cold deli sandwiches and wraps entrees that can be purchased ala carte or made into a Rebel Lunch, as well as ala carte drinks.

Red, White & Blue: The Choice is up to You!

The cost for a Rebel Lunch is $2.75.  If you choose to buy only an entrée, the cost is $2.25. Side items such as a serving of potatoes, fruit or a side salad are $1.00 and a carton of milk is $.50. If you choose an extra entrée with your Rebel Lunch, the cost is $1.75.

Creating a lunch is as easy as knowing your school colors. A Rebel Lunch will consist of one red, one white and two blue choices. Red items will be entrée choices such as a sandwich, piece of pizza or the entrée of the day on the hot lunch line. The white choice is 8 ounces of milk or Orange juice that is in the milk coolers by the cashiers and the blue choices are hot or cold side items such as noodles, rice, vegetables, fruits and side salads. For easy selection, choices will be marked on the lines as red, white or blue. The choice is up to you.

A La Carte Offerings

Not quite hungry enough for a whole lunch? You may want to visit our a la carte room or snack bar. A la carte room favorites include bagels with cheese, Bosco Sticks, fruit juice slushies and our nine flavors of “real-milk” milkshakes! Corn dogs, Crispitos and buffalo poppers are other a la carte favorites featured on a rotating basis.

The snack bar will be the location for the ice cream novelties this year. Hot pretzels with cheese, PB& J Uncrustables, chips and other snack items are available to quiet your rumbling tummy!

It’s Mealtime!

All students, faculty and staff at Roncalli automatically have a Mealtime school lunch account. If you so choose, money may be deposited at school or online for access during lunch periods. Checks or cash for deposit may be dropped off in the main office in the "lunch money" mailbox. BE SURE to include the student's name or ID number. Deposits may also be made with the designated cashiers at lunchtime. Parents can track purchases made with account funds or deposit money online by setting up a user name and password at www.mymealtime.com. There is no charge to access your student's account. If you choose to deposit money online, the site will charge a 4.9% user fee. If you deposit $100 or more, the cafeteria will credit the user fee amount to your child's balance.

In an effort to speed up meal service and offer privacy and convenience, students may opt to use a fingerprint to identify themselves and use deposited funds for meal purchases. This system offers complete privacy and use of the device is 100% optional. If a student does not wish to use his fingerprint, he will still be able to access his account and participate in the meal program using his student ID number. The system does not store an image or photo of the student's fingerprint. The scanner examines a few points of a fingerprint and generates unique numbers based on those points to create a secure key called a "string". Only the string value is retained for reference back to the student. These numbers cannot be converted into an actual fingerprint image; fingerprints cannot be regenerated or reproduced for any purpose.
