Tips for Freshman Year
- Develop strong study habits.
- Freshman grades count toward your college applications.
- First and second semester grades determine which classes you may select for your sophomore year and beyond.
- Future Planning Night for Freshman and Sophomores is held each fall and includes great information about being successful your first two years of high school and preparing for post-high school opportunities. Information such as handouts, slides, etc. will be available online after the presentation.

Freshman Year at a Glance
- September: Future Planning Night for Freshman and Sophomores.
- January-March: Register for classes for your sophomore year. Be sure you meet the prerequisites.
- 9th Grade Scheduling Appointments are held in the second semester before spring break. Students meet one-on-one with their School Counselor to discuss their current plans for after high school, review their transcript, and discuss classes for the following school year.
