Attend Evening with the College Reps, college fair(s), and/or career events. See the College and Career tabs for more information.
Attend the NCAA presentation at RHS if interested in college athletics.
Attend an open house on a college campus (weekends, vacation days, or summer).
Many colleges also offer virtual college visits that allow you to explore campus virtually, submit questions to their admissions counselors, and more. Below, you will find links to a variety of sites that list schools offering virtual visits.
Prepare to retake the SAT/ACT as necessary. Please reference the Senior Guidebook, speak with your School Counselor, or follow the links below for materials to help you study and prepare.
Update your resume on Naviance. Teachers and administrators use this information to write letters of recommendation and some schools and most jobs require resumes for consideration as well.

Consider two individuals who would write you strong letters of recommendation as needed for college, scholarship, and job applications. See your School Counselor to obtain a letter of recommendation form and be sure to request the letter on Naviance (instructions can be found on the Naviance tab).
Use your Senior Guidebook and the Naviance tab to help you enter and track college applications, send transcripts to colleges, request letter(s) of recommendation, update your resume, enter scholarships earned, and more.
August: Visit with your School Counselor for your Senior Appointment to discuss college and job opportunities, scholarships, making the most of senior year, decision making, and more.
August: Begin college, job, and/or scholarship applications. August: Attend Evening with the College Repts.
September: Attend Paying for College Night.
September: NACAC National College Fair in downtown Indianapolis.
September-December: Retake the SAT/ACT if necessary.
September-October: Complete college applications. Review deadlines for your schools as many schools have early deadlines for admission and competitive scholarships.
October: Attend the Financial Aid/FAFSA Meeting.
October-January: Create your FAFSA account and begin gathering materials to fill it out. The FAFSA opens October 1.
November: Attend the Roncalli Career Fair.
October-February: File your FAFSA. Check your schools’ websites for their specific FAFSA deadlines.
March: Attend the Career Event to learn all about careers that do not require a bachelor’s degree.
March-April: Evaluate financial aid packages from colleges.
May 1: Commit to one school. Notify other colleges that you have decided against.

Financial Aid & Scholarships
You can start looking as early as your junior year! Even though you may not be able to apply at that time, looking at what scholarships are available, their deadlines, application requirements, writing prompts, etc. can give you a good idea of the scholarships you want to apply for senior year and the application process.
