Dear Fine Arts Community,
I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as we enter the 2025-2026 school year. I am truly privileged to begin my twenty-eighth year as the Director of Theatre Education and my fourth year as the Department Chair of the Performing Arts Department at Roncalli High School. I am excited to continue collaborating with our community this year and in the years to come to create meaningful learning opportunities for our students.
I firmly believe that hard work and dedication are more important than talent. A person with less talent who works hard, practices regularly, and is committed to improvement will always outperform someone who has more talent but lacks dedication. With a strong work ethic, perseverance, and a little guidance from their teachers, parents, and peers, anyone can become an accomplished performer or technician. I hope that we can build upon each other’s strengths to foster a greater appreciation and love for the arts.
We look forward to a year filled with numerous opportunities for students in the arts at Roncalli. Whether acting, playing an instrument, singing, creating art, or engaging in technical work, students have various ways to express themselves. With events such as the Fall musical, the Spring play, art shows, and wonderful band and choral performances in between, this year promises to be an experience you won’t want to miss.
Thank you once again for your support of the arts at Roncalli High School.
