Dear Performing Arts Community,

Please allow me to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year. I am truly privileged to begin my twenty-sixth year as Director of Theatre Education and my third year as the Department Chair of the Performing Arts Department at Roncalli High School.  I am excited to continue working with our community this year and in the years to come to create meaningful learning opportunities for our students.

I am a firm believer that hard work and dedication are more important than talent.  Someone with less talent who works hard, practices regularly, and truly wants to be the best they can be will always outperform someone with more talent who lacks dedication.  With this strong work ethic, perseverance, and a little guidance from their teachers, parents, and peers, anyone can become an accomplished performer or technician.  My hope is that we build upon each other’s strengths, to gain a better appreciation and love for the arts.

We are excited for a year filled with numerous opportunities for students in the Performing Arts at Roncalli. Acting, playing an instrument, singing, and technical work are just a few areas students can express themselves. From the Fall musical, “Matilda,” to the Spring play, “Puffs,” and the wonderful band and choral performances in between, this year is sure to be an experience you do not want to miss.

Thank you again for your support of the Performing Arts at Roncalli High School.
