2017 Boys Soccer Coaching Staff
Joe Schonegg - Varsity Head Coach
Schonegg, a 2013 graduate of Ball State University, has 20 years of playing experience at the club, high school and collegiate level. After his playing career at Center Grove High School, Schonegg played for four seasons on the Ball State University men’s soccer club. Over his final two seasons, he served as the club’s vice president, handling the club’s administrative duties, scheduling, running practices and sharing game coaching duties. Schonegg is currently the technology teacher and coordinator at St. Barnabas School on the South Side and is going into his fourth season as the head coach of boys soccer at Roncalli.
Dane Heckler - Varsity Assistant
Heckler is a 2009 Roncalli graduate and is also entering his third year as the varsity assistant coach. In his time playing for the Rebels, Heckler was a four-year varsity letter winner and was a part of three sectional titles and two regional titles. He is looking forward to his fifth year coaching and hopes to promote an intense and fun atmosphere for the program.
Noor Ramadan - JV Coach
Ramadan is a 2012 graduate of Franklin Central High School and he is currently entering his third year of coaching at Roncalli. He played soccer at Franklin Central High School, where he had earned all-conference honors. Currently he is attending IUPUI. Ramadan has many years of playing experience at the academy, club and high school level. He is looking forward to his third year with the program.
Jake Reel - Junior JV Coach
Coach Reel is a 2015 graduate of Roncalli and is entering his first year of coaching. In high school, he was a three-year varsity player and played his senior year under Coach Schonegg. Reel has many years of club soccer experience at the state and regional levels. He is currently a full-time student at IUPUI studying Mechanical Engineering Technology and leading an intramural soccer team.
