Girls Lacrosse Team

2018 Review

In its inaugural season, the girls lacrosse team began with roster full of players who were new to the sport and only two players having any real lacrosse experience. The season ended with back-to-back wins in a 12-1 victory over Elkhart and a 7-3 win over Lafayette Harrison. Head coach Bill Niezgodski guided the roster of 28 girls through the program’s first season.

On April 17, the team played its first home game and in that game, freshman Lindsey Benson made history by scoring the program’s first goal.

Sophomore Julia Gorski was named the team’s MVP, while sophomore Cynthia Allstatt and freshman Mia Niezgodski shared the team’s mental attitude award.
