2016-2017 Boys Swimming and Diving Team

Boys’ Swimming and Diving 2016-2017 Review

With only six returning swimmers from last season, the boys’ swimming and diving team was able to develop new swimmers to fill out the sectional roster, while also capitalizing on the huge improvement of the returnees. The team achieved its primary regular season goal of winning the first-ever Circle City Conference title.

The team finished the dual/tri meet season with an 8-4 record and finished seventh in both the Marion County Championships and in the sectional. The sectional was highlighted by junior Jack Bauer’s effort in the 500 Freestyle. Bauer swam a 4:53.35, which was good for fifth place and just .87 seconds away from the school record. Bauer was named the team’s MVP and freshman Todd Hunt earned the team’s most improved award.
