First let us say how happy we are to be able to interact with our student body every day and make lunch time as great as possible. Every employee on the cafeteria staff has a direct connection to Roncalli and really tries to treat each student as they would their own.
Open for Business!
The snack bar is open every day before school at 6:50. School breakfast is available there. A breakfast consists of an 2 grain servings or 1 protein and 1 grain, a fruit and a milk, The cost for breakfast is $2.00 or if you qualify for a reduced breakfast the cost is .30 and if you qualify for free then it is free! There are many ways to make up a breakfast available. Stop in and get a great start to your day.
The snack bar is also open after school every day except Friday till 3:30. The cafeteria can also provide team meals (for groups of 8 or more) after school. Check out our order form. (Click here for info and order form)
Lunch is served!
The students and staff at Roncalli have many ways to create a school lunch every day. There are four serving lines that offer school lunch. The cost for a Rebel Lunch is $3.25. There is no “entrée only” price. Lunch consists of 5 components: meat, bread, vegetable, fruit and milk. Students must choose 3 of the components (one must be a fruit or a vegetable) to have your meal considered a lunch. All of our entrées include the meat and bread component; students then round out the rest of their meal with the fruit and vegetable offerings. Students and staff are not limited in the number of choices they may take, but may only take one serving of any offerings. Additional servings of the same side item will be charged at the following rate: fruit sides .75, hot vegetables or pasta, $1.00. There is an assortment of plain and flavored milk as well as juice in the milk coolers. Students may have one choice with lunch with additional charged at .50. If a student would want to purchase a second entrée that cost is $1.75. There are also 7 different types of grab and go salads/lunches available with milk that are considered a school lunch.
Free and Reduced Price Lunches
Because we participate in the National School Lunch Program we are able to provide free and reduced price (.40) lunches to students who qualify. Financial guidelines and applications are available throughout the school year on this website. Please know that that participation is confidential and students access this benefit by using their Meal Time account just like everyone else.

Ala Carte Offerings
Not feelin’ lunch today?
You may want to visit our ala carte room or snack bar. The Ala Carte Room daily favorites include Bosco Sticks, “real milk” milkshakes in 9 Flavor burst flavors, fruit Slushies and bagels and cheese. Crispitos, mini corn dogs and buffalo poppers are other favorites offered weekly on a rotating basis. The snack bar features: hot pretzels with cheese, PB&J Uncrustables, baked chips, ice cream novelties, 12 oz. milk jugs, canned juices and Snapple diet teas.
While we do accept cash as payment in the cafeteria, we encourage everyone to use their Mealtime account. Mealtime is a point of sale system in which your account can be “loaded” with money and used as needed to purchase food in the cafeteria at lunch and before and after school. All students, faculty and staff at Roncalli have a Mealtime school lunch account. For students, this number is their six-digit student ID number. This number is entered on a keypad at the cashier station.
Checks or cash for deposit into your Mealtime account may be dropped off in the two “lunch money” mailboxes located in the main office, or in the cafeteria by the food service office (please be sure to include the student’s name or ID number on the check.) Deposits may also be made with the cashiers at lunchtime.
Please consider setting up an account at www.mymealtime.com. You will be asked to create a student profile with a username and password. Upon doing so, you will then be able to track purchases and receive low balance warnings. You may also add money to your student’s account. There is a 4.9% user fee to deposit money online but deposits of over $100 will have the fee credited back to the child’s balance. When you make an online deposit and your student has a negative balance, the deposit needs to bring the account up to $100.00 for the fee to be credited to the account. If you are concerned by the amount your student is spending, we can put a spending limit on the account. That needs to be done by the cafeteria staff. New Charging Policy!!
There is an No Exception -$20.00 limit on student’s lunch accounts. If your student’s account is more than $20.00 in the negative they will be asked to leave their lunches at the cashier stands and come to the cafeteria office to call a parent. It is easy to set up a notification with Mealtime to receive an email when the accounts are low. We will also be sending negative lunch balance notifications out every day by email.
