Free and Reduced Meals
Families that believe they would qualify for free or reduced-priced meals should submit a free/reduced meal application. The free and reduced eligibility is programmed into the Mealtime system so it remains confidential.
MealTime Apply Online is a secure and convenient way to apply for free and reduced meals benefits from the privacy of your home. You’ll know your application was submitted completely and accurately, and your school will be able to make a determination of eligibility without delay. Click here to apply.
Benefits from completing applications stretch far beyond the cafeteria and impact students in the classroom and at home. All information submitted in these applications is private and confidential.
It’s Mealtime
We are no longer accepting deposits (cash or checks) at our cashier stands during lunch. Payments must be deposited in the lunch payment mailboxes located in the Main Office or in the cafeteria by the Food Service Office. (Please be sure to include the student’s name or ID number on the envelope or check.) Deposits can also be made online by going to www.mymealtime.com.
Mealtime is the point of sale system (POS) we use at Roncalli in which your student’s account can be “loaded” with money and used as needed to purchase food in the cafeteria. All students, faculty and staff at Roncalli have a Mealtime school account. For students, this number is their school ID number. This number is entered as a barcode on the student’s ID and will be scanned at the cashier station. So it is important that your student has their ID with them when they make purchases in the cafeteria. They can also use the keypad at the register and key in their ID number if they prefer.
We ask that families set up a Mealtime account for their students online. In this way, you will be able to track purchases and receive low balance warnings. You are also able to make deposits to your student’s account. There is a 4.9% user fee for online deposits.
If you are concerned about the amount your student is spending, we can put a spending limit on the account. This must be done in our cafeteria office. Please email Jeff Richardson at jrichardson@roncalli.org or call (317)788-4099 to discuss your options.
Charging Policy
There is a limit on charging food in the cafeteria. If your student’s account is more than $20.00 in the negative, they will be asked to take their lunch and go into the cafeteria office to discuss this issue. It is easy to set up the option to receive an email notification from Mealtime when your student’s balance is low. We also send out negative account balance notices by email from the cafeteria office daily.
