High School Placement Test

PREREGISTRATION is strongly encouraged!
- Accommodations: as designated in the student’s IEP/ISP, are available only for those students who provide the appropriate documentation to Mrs. Michelle Roberts– mroberts@roncalli.org, Director of Special Services. If your student has an IEP/ILP, a parent meeting will be scheduled prior to the High School Placement Test. Families will need to bring a copy of their student’s IEP/ILP documentation to this meeting.
- Accommodations are NOT offered on makeup test dates.
- Test begins at 8:00 AM. Please arrive 20 minutes early.
- Curbside drop off by 7:40 AM. Stay in the car line to drop students off at Main Entrance – Door 1. School counselors and student volunteers will assist the student after they enter the school building.
- Pickup at Main Entrance – Door 1 around 11:15 AM; unless, student has accommodations.
- Cost: $10 cash or check made out to Roncalli OR pay online with Preregistration
- Bring: 2 sharpened No. 2 pencils; calculators are not allowed.

- Only students who take the November HSPT are eligible for the Presidential Scholarship.
- The HSPT score is determined by the number of correct answers; points are not subtracted for incorrect answers. If a question seems exceptionally difficult, students are advised to make the most careful guess they can, and then move on to the next question. Students are advised that it will help their score if they move along at a fairly rapid pace. This information is all contained in the HSPT directions to the students on the day of the HSPT.
