Band Director – Laura Gottman

Laura Gottman is starting her 11th year of teaching and third year as director of bands at Roncalli. A graduate of Roncalli High School R’10, and the University of Dayton (cum laude), Laura has also taught at Roncalli High School previously as the assistant band director, as well as St. Luke Catholic School. At Roncalli Laura has been involved in Summer Field Studies and Junior Rebel Theater (JRT) for several summers.  Laura also performs regularly in the Indiana Wind Symphony on French horn.

Laura (Horcher) is married to Aaron Gottman.   Laura and Aaron now have a runner (toddler), Ari.  Ari joins fur babies Luna, Val and Javert.  Laura is a southside native growing up at St. Barnabas.

Laura’s goal as a teacher is “to spread music through compassion and creativity.” She loves meeting challenges head on, and watching students grow and push themselves. She is excited to be back at RHS.

South Deanery Band Director – Lindsey Meyer

A native of Newburgh, Indiana, Lindsey graduated from Castle High School in 2000. She has a bachelor of music education from Indiana State University and a master of elementary education from Indiana University Southeast. This is her 12th year as a music educator, having taught general music, band, and choir in preschool through high school in many different environments, including public, private and homeschool. In the summers of 2011 and 2012, Lindsey traveled to Indonesia on short-term trips to serve at a Christian school and community youth orchestra.

Lindsey lives in Greenwood and has two children, Julia and Eli and one dog, Daisy.
