Get Involved at Roncalli
Academic Teams – If your student is part of one of the academic teams (Mock Trial, Spell Bowl, Speech team, etc.) this provides a great opportunity for you to volunteer as a judge at one of the competitions or volunteer to help chaperone at one of the meets. Parents are always encouraged to contact the coach of each academic team to see how they can assist which will help to connect the parent and student with others at Roncalli.
Fine Arts – If your student is involved in Fine Arts, there are many opportunities to meet other parents and help out the program. Attend the PABC meeting and sign up to help. If you have questions, contact Miki Lewinski at mlewinski@roncalli.org.
Little Royals Daycare – The Little Royals Daycare is attached to St. Jude Church along Prague Road. They are always looking for volunteers to rock infants, play games with toddlers, or read stories to the preschool. Come as often or as little as your schedule allows. Roar – Roar is our largest annual fundraiser (dinner auction) that raises funds for families in need of tuition assistance. There are many ways to get involved. You can join the planning committee, volunteer to be a job host for a student, make a donation, or just attend the event. Look for information in the weekly newsletter starting in January or contact Brandi Young at byoung@roncalli.org for more information.
Roncalli Spirit Store – The Spirit Store can use help selling Roncalli spirit wear at events throughout the year. Some of these events include sporting events, Back to School Night, Grandparent’s Day, etc. If you are interested, please contact Julie Gantner at jgantner@roncalli.org.
Rosary for Roncalli – Parents praying for the students, faculty and staff, and families of Roncalli. Meets every Wednesday at 8:00 am. Contact Kellie Caito for more info at kcaito3@yahoo.com.
Sharing Talents – You may have a unique talent or just extra time you would like to share with Roncalli. If none of the opportunities above interest you, contact one of the RPO members and we will see how we can help you get involved.
STARS Program – Assist the STARS program in administering semester exams. Watch for an announcement in the December and April Weekly Newsletters or contact mroberts@roncalli.org.
Team Sports – If your student plays a sport, this provides a great opportunity to meet their teammate’s parents. There might also be opportunities to help out. Many times a coach could use help with team meals, spirit wear, or other events. Ask your student’s coach if interested.
Walk-A-Thon – The Office of Institutional Advancement needs volunteers each year to help on the day of the Walkathon by directing the students along the route or passing out refreshments. Contact Brandi Young at byoung@roncalli.org if interested.
